           ADOPTION PENDING

The Application Process has closed, we have enough applicants.  We are no longer accepting new applications

Update February 6th;  Lydia was seen to determine the progress of the shrinkage of her mammary glands.  She is doing well.  Her foster mom is beginning to take her into public places to socialize more.  At this time she is still not comfortable with strangers.  Her next recheck is on March 20th.  The Veterinarian is hopeful that her mammary glands will have retracted sufficiently to determine if there are any other tumors that need to be removed so that hew surgery can be scheduled

Update December 1st:  Lydia and the other Pugs have been exposed to Ear mites.  As a result they must have 2 treatments 30 days apart.  This will result in the adoption process being pushed back 30 days.  We will be unable to conduct any interviews during this period.

Update November 20th: Lydia must  lose some weight and her mamory glands dried up before she can be spayed and have her teeth cleaned.  She is to be walked short walks not to exceed 1/2 mile per day, use ear drops twice daily for her ear infections and placed on a rigid diet.  She will therefore spend the next month in her foster home and then be rechecked.  She is to be treated in 2 weeks with the second dose of Panacur to clear up her Whipworms.  She will then be able to be spayed and have her teeth cleaned.

Lydia and her five brothers and sisters came to "Pug Luv" from a lady who because of health issues was no longer able to care for him.  She is 4.5 years old. She was brought up to date on vaccines and heartworm testing.  Once she has lost some weight and her mamorary glands go down she will have a dental cleaning and be spayed.  Her next appointment is in mid December.  She gets along with other dogs, cats unknown.  She is very friendly but timid until she gets to know you.  Better pictures are coming!
If you are interested in adopting Lydia or any of the other Pugs currently with "Pug Luv" go to michiganpugrescue.com click on the Adopt/Foster tab on the left of the home page and read all of the information on the page and most questions you have will be answered.  You can also download the Adoption Application from that page after which, print it, complete it and mail it in to begin the adoption proces
