Augie
In August, 2013, my little Augie came to live with me. I had just lost the third Pug of three Pugs I had and my husband had passed away in June, 2013. I was very fortunate that Larry and Cathy had a Pug available. Augie kept me company during a very rough time. Augie was 8 yeas old when I adopted him and he was going on 16 years old when he went to the Rainbow Bridge. He was a healthy Pug and followed me wherever I went. On January 14, 2021 he couldn't keep anything he ate in his little tummy and slept most of the day. On January 15, 2021, he was very lethargic and could not take any of his medication so I took him to the Emergency Vet. They did x-rays and bloodwork and discovered that his liver enzymes were terribly high and he was going into liver failure. I thought about his 16 years of life and the fact that he wasn't hearing well, or seeing well, and all the options the vet discussed with me. Augie came into my life when I needed him and helped me through a rough time after my husband and three Pugs passed away within months of each other. I did not want Augie to suffer like my husband did. He left for the Rainbow Bridge peacefully and is not suffering. I will miss my "little Boo Bear" very much. He was my constant companion.

Tooey aka Tupac
Tooey came to the rescue with the hopes that we would be able to find out what was wrong with him and be able to resolve it Unfortunately his issues were far too many to save him. His mom loved him enough to put her trust in the rescue to do what was best for him. We were thee to help him cross the bridge. Run free beautiful boy.

Ike
Ike broke my heart on January 4th of this year, it was only then that I realized that he simply couldn’t live forever. I know he did the best he could, and blessed me with almost 16 great years! Fierce, loyal, fearless, funny and smart, Ike was without a doubt, my best friend. Ikey was full of life, loved to eat, play hide and seek, chase, tug and chew on his “baby”. While Maddy loved walks, Iker was not a fan, but he always went anyway...He always picked up the pace after the halfway point (so cute). Ike, you made it your job to protect your family early on, and kept fighting your entire life. You are forever in my heart, thoughts and with me eternally. Thank you, Ike, for job well done.

Maddy
Maddy I lost my little Maddy girl on October 17th of last year, and still feel like she is always at my side. Maddy had a huge heart and even though her Dad was clearly favorite, she loved all people and all people loved her. One of Maddy’s passions included walks—Everything always seemed brand new to her, and I loved to watch her go. Maddy also loved food, watching and interacting with the TV, cuddling, ultra comfort and playing with her brother, Ike. I know that nothing I write can articulate how much Maddy meant to me, but I do know that she had my whole heart. Maddy, you will never leave my heart, my thoughts or my side. Thank you, Ian

Donny
Donny was rescued, found abandoned on a farm in Ann Arbor. His rescuer named him Donny after, Old Mc Donald, it was a perfect name – Donny was the sweetest and most loving puppy ever. We instantly bonded and Donny and I became inseparable, going everywhere together. He loved to travel in the car, heading up north. He was at home wherever he happened to be. He loved going for walks, his treats, and just being with all of us al the time. He won a race for fastest pug at a Pug Picnic and the tallest pug too, he was a big boy, but always a lap dog, no matter if that lap already had another pug in it. He had some health issues, but he overcame them and was a true and loving friend. I will always remember his kind face and loving ways. RIP Donny 8/15/2007 – 8/4/2020
